This picture book, published in 2019, tells the story of three children on a journey to restore the Pasig river after they unintentionally pollute it.

One of the things I enjoyed most about illustrating this book was the opportunity to capture the authentic look of the Pasig River. My goal was to create a storyworld that reflects the real-life scenery; bringing a sense of place and familiarity to those who know the river and its surroundings.

The story was written by author Mark Norman Boquiren for the Taga-Alog Storywriting Workshop spearheaded by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).
