I am currently pursuing an MA in Art Studies with a focus on (Philippine) Art History. My academic interests include picture books and Philippine art history.

Research Project (Ongoing)

For my MA thesis, my primary research focuses on pictorial narratives in Philippine literature, such as wordless picture books and silent komiks. This research will examine the construction of pictorial narratives through forms and representations, as well as the processes by which these narratives are retrieved, retold, and performed.

This paper is a critical examination of an annual observance in a town in Rizal, Philippines — discussing issues related to Catholic imagery and profession of faith. It is based on my undergraduate thesis defended in 2018.
